After graduating from Mode Gakuen in 2004, she began her career as a designer at a venerable hat company. During her tenure there, she also devoted her nights to hat making at the Salon de Chapeau night school. In 2010, she retired and embarked on her journey as a modista.

After graduating from Mode Gakuen in 2004, she began her career as a designer at a venerable hat company. During her tenure there, she also devoted her nights to hat making at the Salon de Chapeau night school. In 2010, she retired and embarked on her journey as a modista.
She interned at GREVI, a historic hat manufacturer in Italy. Following her internship, she traveled extensively across the United States, Asia, and Europe. Upon returning to Japan, she collaborated with various hat manufacturers. After getting married and having a child, she launched her own brand, Mia Hat & Accessory, in 2015.
Her creations are available in select shops and specialty stores, predominantly in major department stores such as Isetan and Hankyu. Beginning with showcasing her creations at PREMIERE CLASSE in France in 2024, she embarked on a new voyage of extending her reach to France, Italy, New York, and Korea.
The brand name “Mia” is a cherished nickname from her time in Florence, where she honed her hat-making skills.
